Second Draft

Explicit Content needs to be removed in the car scene.

The focus of the documentary is still unclear therefore we think it would be better to incorporate a voiceover as an external voice telling the audience what they are going to be seeing may improve the structure of the whole product.

We also decided that we needed to swap the interviews with the manager and the radio producer in order to improve the structure.

Furthermore we decided to import  clips from our interview with Danny Parr and The Occur because it allow us to meet the brief, which is an extract of a documentary.

This is the script for the news reports.

These are the questions we plan to ask the commoners.

This is the filming schedule for the commoners.

This is the script for the main narrator in the documentary.

This is the costume list for the band members.

The equipment which we used was three camera's, two filming and one for images, two tripods, the lighting room and the eqiupment within it.

Whilst setting up the room which we interviewed the boys in we decided to take images on what equipment we used in preparation.

Corrections:

After watching our first draft we felt it lacked flow and focus as we were unsure as to where this band was heading, where they already an established band or where they an upcoming band. With this in mind we decided to change what the reporters were saying in order to fit with this idea of the band being an upcoming band and trying to be an established band.

We also decided to have more interviews with fans as well as managers and professionals in the music field for example professionals working for NME.

We also wanted to change the structure of the documentary and start the interviews much sooner in order to grasp the audiences attention and plot the focus quicker.

Furthermore we wanted to adjust the framing of the shots; possibly crop it so there is less negative space in the frames.

Also we decided that due to it being a show that would air at approximately 9pm at night, we have to be careful with the ammount of strong language we use at the target audience is as young as 15 due to the certificate we gave it.

Minor Adjustments

Change audio in certain parts- too abrupt with the changes in dynamics.

Change black background- not fully black

Stablize certain clips

Reduce background noise on certain clips

Possible zooms during clips

Incorporate more of the props

When the screen fades to black in between the interview and the credits, possibly add around 10 flashing pictures of them to make it more interesting.

Change the last clip used when the title says 'Georgia Barker'

First Draft

Third Draft

We think that re-arranging the structure of the documentary would work better; we would show less of the band members messing about and shorten the band practice.

We also thought that changing the person for the voiceover might be beneficial to the product because the voice used sounds quite cautious, unconifident and unprofessional. We are going to arrange meeting with Philip Schacklady and ask him to be our voiceover.

We have also removed the credits because it goes against the brief; it is an extract from a documentary not a full short one.

Fourth Draft

We think that the final changes needed are in the final section. We are going to shorten the length between the fade to black to the when the voiceover starts for the final time mentioning what will be coming up in the next section. We are going to experiment moving the props included in this section into another place.

We also need to re-record the last voiceover as it doesnt quite match the brief; this is supposed to be an extract for a documentary therefore the speaker needs to say "find out after the break" rather than find out next Monday"

Fifth Draft

This is our fifth and final draft.
